Martin Freeman isn't apologizing for the huge age gap between himself and onscreen love interest Jenna Ortega ... even though the internet collectively found it pretty gross.

Martin and Jenna's recent flick, "Miller's Girl," faced backlash after it was revealed their characters would be romantically involved with one another. Fans cited the actors' ages as an issue ... since there is a 31-year difference between the two.

However, the actor told The Times ... the dramedy is about an inappropriate connection between a teacher and a student -- meaning they were supposed to be strikingly different ages ... and emphasizing, that's the whole damn point of the movie.

Britney Spears needs a lot of help right now -- and the answer may lie in a new conservatorship and a ton of medication ... so says Dr. Charles Sophy.

We got the famed Hollywood psychiatrist Monday on "TMZ Live," where he offered up his professional opinion on Britney's situation -- this as she appears to be unraveling at the seams ... with her finances in shambles as she continues to spend excessively.

Take a listen to what Dr. Sophy says he thinks Britney requires at this point ... from his POV, he believes a second round of a court-ordered conservatorship might be what's best.

Rudy Moreno -- a veteran L.A. comedian who's huge in the Latin comedy scene -- is currently hospitalized in the ICU ... but his spouse tells us she can't even locate him.

The stand-up's wife, Arlene, tells TMZ ... Rudy's been in the intensive care unit at a local hospital here in Los Angeles since last Tuesday -- this after she says he was admitted following a bout with pneumonia and receiving dialysis treatment.

The problem ... Arlene herself is also on the mend, telling us she's also been in the hospital lately following a lung transplant ... and now, she says the hospital Rudy was supposed to be at is apparently telling her they can't find him in their system.

Travis Kelce was already having an amazing 2024 ... he won Super Bowl LVIII, he's dating the biggest star in the world, and now he's getting a new, fat contract extension -- making him the richest tight end in the NFL!

The 34-year-old perennial Pro Bowler agreed to a two-year extension on Monday ... and even though the amount hasn't been disclosed, reports say it's enough to make him the highest-paid TE in the league.

Selena Quintanilla's brother, A.B., III is offering up an apology after losing it on fans this weekend during a music festival in Texas ... and he's blaming the fact he was off his meds.

In a since-deleted video shared to Instagram, the musician -- who used to tour with his late sister -- said he regretted his behavior at the Tejano Explosion 2024 music festival, in San Antonio ... revealing he was forced to go off mental health medication amid a cancer scare weeks prior.

He explains ... "After Selena passed away, [mental health issues] came around. I became bipolar. I became OCD, ADD, PSTD [sic] ... I'm on the spectrum basically, for people who understand that."

Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann could be out on their ass soon -- their lender is letting them know loud and clear that they plan to foreclose on their house ... unless they make some moves in court.

According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Truist Bank's attorneys sent a clear and decisive message to Kim and Kroy -- as well as to the court -- and they say they're finally ready to take back ownership of their Milton, GA mansion.

Per the paperwork, Truist is giving notice that it plans to initiate a non-judicial foreclosure proceeding on or after May 3 ... which is literally a few days away. It doesn't necessarily mean Kim and Kroy have to be out by that date -- but that's certainly when the ball gets rolling officially on the legal side of things.

The Weeknd's manager Amir "Cash XO" Esmailian is currently dealing with the aftermath of a scary situation -- this after one of his security guards was shot multiple times.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... the shooting occurred early Monday morning at 2:25 AM outside a home in the Amestoy Estates area of Encino, a Los Angeles suburb.

According to cops, the security guard encountered three males wearing hoodies and masks who had made their way onto the $12 million property that boasts 7 bedrooms, 9 bathrooms, and a "state-of-the-art security system.''

Britney Spears is in "serious danger" on both the mental and financial front and is doing way worse than she was under the conservatorship ... sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ.

As for her mental health, our sources say Britney is "completely dysfunctional." Since the conservatorship ended, she has no supervision and, according to sources, has radical mood swings that we're told are "shocking."

We're told she's almost totally isolated and, as it was put to us, dangerously unstable.

There's no bad blood between exes Christie Brinkley and Billy Joel ... as the former spouses shared a sweet moment over the weekend -- where Bill was singing to her once again.

The supermodel attended her ex-hubby's concert at MSG Friday -- where she was filmed dancing along to Billy's hit "Uptown Girl" ... which was written about Christie back in the day.

A YouTuber is lucky to be alive after falling 85 feet in a paraglider crash ... which left him with several broken bones, and practically paralyzed on the ground as he called for help.

Check it out ... Anthony Vella filmed himself recently enjoying a motorized paraglide ride in Texas, when something went terribly wrong -- resulting in the internet personality plummeting to the ground. Anthony screams out in pain before calling out to Siri on his phone to call 911.

2 eyewitnesses come to Anthony's aid ... assisting him in contacting first responders as well as his wife, Leandra. Anthony -- who was going about 50 mph before his fall from the sky -- was rushed to the hospital ... where he was diagnosed with a fractured neck, back, pelvis, and a broken arm. His injuries will require surgery.
